Some of My Favorite Things

I’ve tried and tested many gadgets and products. Some were great. Some… not so much.

Here's a list of top-notch items that had (or continue to have) the biggest impact on my life! LOVE 'EM!

Note: some of the items below have my affiliate link attached and I may earn a small commission, at no extra charge to you, of course. In fact, in some cases, you'll receive a discount for purchasing through my link.

Food (because food always comes first)

Red Peppers

Thrive Life groceries help make meal prep faster, simpler, and more convenient... Without neglecting taste and quality, of course!

The produce comes washed, chopped, and ready to use. Perfect for busy lifestyles. This is my #1 food hack! I fell in love after one taste.

Save time. Waste less. Eat healthier.

Built Bar

Built Bar is one of my favorite protein bars.

The texture is unlike anything you're used to. It's light and fluffy

There are a wide variety of flavors all covered in chocolate... It almost feels like you're eating a box of chocolates!

Low calorie. Low carb. Low sugar.

sandwich maker

A sandwich maker has always been one of my go-to kitchen appliances.

From pizza pockets to desserts, this gadget helps makes simple sandwiches in a flash. Great for school lunches.

Classic. Simple. Kid friendly.

You can get these just about everywhere but I've linked to the one I have made by Hamilton Beach.

Two Passion Planners

Passion Planner has been my calendar of choice for years. Yup, I'm still all about that pen and paper lifestyle.

Cool features:
- a writing guide to help you decide which size is right for you (I tried medium in 2019 and went back to large for 2020)
- choice of Sunday or Monday start day (I've always considered Monday the start of my week so I love it being that way in my planner)
- dated or undated

colorful pens

Erasable pens are my jam.

I color-code my various activities and responsibilities in my Passion Planner. When things change (because, let's face it, plans are constantly changing), I simply erase!

I've linked to my absolute favorite erasable pens sold on Amazon.

blue pen

Blue ink pens are something I burn through with my constant note-taking, idea-jotting, list-making lifestyle.

These babies are basic, boring, and truly nothing special to look at. BUT they are my favorite classic blue pen.

You can buy these at any office supply store or big box store.

Arteza Markers

Wine Glass Markers were a curious purchase (I have a large glass weekly planning board in my office) that ended up being fantastic!

These metallic fine tip markers are vibrant, washable (with soap), and can be used on a variety of different surfaces.

You can buy these on a few websites online but I've linked to the company directly.

Personal Care

woman with massager on neck

truMedic Massager is probably one of my best impulse purchases.

I'm a massage junkie but I'm also very picky. I like it deep... And this thing goes deep! A true deep-kneading shiatsu massage rather than a little useless vibration or tapping.

I ordered mine (from the company directly) at a trade show but they are found online at Costco and Amazon.

lady with thera cane massager

Thera Cane is da bomb. You need it. Enough said.

This simple contraption helps you apply and hold deep pressure on a single point. Perfect for knotted muscles - anywhere they occur!

It looks like there a lot of cheaper knock-offs. I can't speak to their quality so I've linked to the original (the one I have).

miracurl and box

MiraCurl is my greatest hair hack.

Yes, I was in the beauty industry for a decade. No, this does not mean I can successfully curl my own hair for the life of me (without taking an hour).

My favorite hair tool. Hands down.

A Large Triple Barrel Iron is a NEW favorite hair hack.

Do you remember the hype of the three barrel iron in the early 2000's?! Well, it's back, it's bigger, and it gives quick and easy beach waves!

This tool is now TIED for my favorite hair tool. There seems to be a lot of brands out there. I bought an inexpensive one on Amazon and have been very happy with it.

three underwear styles

THINX period panties! Would any list be complete without period undies?

No feminine hygiene products required. That's right - the undies ARE the product. You wash them and wear them again. I know, it's weird, but it's actually pretty cool.

Baby & Kids

baby brezza machine

Baby Brezza is possibly the best investment you'll make if your baby is formula fed.

We affectionately called ours the "Baby Keurig". A warm bottle is dispensed with the simple push of a button

No more heating up bottles (which seem to always take forever and then suddenly it's too hot) while baby cries.

dad with hip carrier and baby

Baby Hip Carrier was a back saver.

I know I know. It's one of those things that looks silly (maybe?) but does the trick! No messing with a carrier for quick trips - or times when baby will be on and off your hip.

These seem to be sold under different brand names all over the place. In fact, my YouTube video review was ripped off and used in ads for dozens of different brands. The bottom line is, I ordered a very inexpensive one from Amazon and it worked like a charm
